LET’S (e)CONNECT!  All Union Fleurs members are invited to join our  CONNECT-Session on Wednesday 18 May 2022 from 15H to 16H CEST (Amsterdam time-zone)

We will welcome as guest speakers:

• Patrick Pagani, Senior Policy Advisor (Tax and legal issues) at COPA COGECA, who will update us on the essential elements of  new EU Council Directive 2022/542 adopted in April 2022 and its possible impact for cut flowers & ornamental plants;
• Michiel van Galen, Senior Researcher & Project manager, Markets and Agri-food chains at Wageningen Economic Research, who will present the key findings of the report “Effects of a VAT increase on ornamental horticultural products in the Netherlands and the EU” (updated in 2021) that assessed the impact on the sector, in terms of turnover and employment, of increases of VAT rates on cut flowers & plants.

This session is organised in cooperation with the Working Party Flowers & Plants of COPA COGECA.

We are pleased to announce that Union Fleurs will hold its General Assembly 2022  on Monday 13 June 2022 from 15h / 3pm CEST to 18h / 6pm CEST. We are seizing the opportunity of the IPM Essen Summer Edition on 13 and 14 June 2022 to hold the meeting on the premises of the fair.
