CONNECT – SESSION | 21 October 2021 | Topic: Reusable plant trays

LET’S (e)CONNECT!  All Union Fleurs members are invited to join our  CONNECT-Session on Thursday 21 October 2021 from 15H to 16H CEST (Amsterdam time-zone)

To kick-off the session, our guest speaker Dr. Jens Oldenburg, Managing Director of Stiftung Initiative Mehrweg (SIM), will present the ongoing collaborative project that aims at introducing a reusable system for plastic trays used across Europe to transport plants. Under the guidance of the German foundation SIM, 70 key European industry stakeholders, including several members of Union Fleurs, are working together since March 2021 to reach a sustainable European-wide solution to replace the current single-use system for plant trays by end of 2022, thereby reducing CO2 emissions, saving resources and reducing plastic waste currently generated by disposable plant trays.

This shall inspire for a productive discussion and interesting exchange of views with the participants during this 1H get-together!

All Union Fleurs members have received an invitation to sign-up  & confirm their attendance. For any questions, please contact the secretariat: info@unionfleurs.org
